7 TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU CAN NOT HELP
1) People who don’t think they have a problem.
There are some people who refuse to acknowledge that they need help. They want to be the head but are really the tail. They can not see, that in order to go forward to the next level, that they need a mentor to reveal to them the unobvious.
2) People who think you are the hindrance.
This type of person is better to be left once you realize they see you (the mentor) as the one blocking them from their success. The bible talks about pride going before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Usually a mentor show up in your life before pride takes over complete before a fall.
3) People who think they know more than you.
This person will not listen to you no matter how you try to show them the way to progress more efficiently, because they see themselves above you and that you should be taking advice from them. If you persist in trying to teach them what you know, they will let it go in one ear and out the other. Move on to the next student that is waiting for you to show up.
4) People who are not willing to pay the price for true success.
Some may think that being successful comes by trial and error, which may be true to a certain extent. However, true success is not an accident. Though failure is a part of success, one must know the steps that are necessary to become successful. Riding on the coat-tails of others will only get you but so far – you as the person must pay the price and appreciate that process. Those who try to take shortcuts or plagiarize the success of others will never be truly successful.
5) People who refuse to take responsibility for their own outcomes.
This is the mark of a true leader and not a follower. These persons want to continue to play the “blame game”. It’s always someone else’s fault or the “devil” made me do it.
6) People who do not think they need others.
This is the person who has a “superman” syndrome and an ego that has been inflated. They feel like if it is going to be done that they are the only ones that can get it done. No sense of team work is in their scope. So sad to see this person doing all the work.
7) People who are unteachable.
This person eventually you must leave alone, because they feel that they can not see themselves learning anything from you. They can not see themselves under you,so they can not learn from you. You are wasting your time trying to teach them anything. It will literally go in one ear and out the other. Move on.
